Laura Marano is dropping new music in ten days!

This is not a drill people.

The 20-year-old singer and actress has been hinting at new music, but today she finally gave us all the deets!

Here’s what we know so far:

1. The song is called “La La”

2. It will be released on August 25

3. “I never said that I was ever perfect,” is most likely a lyric in the song, based on Laura’s Instagram caption.

We know, we know, now that we’ve talked up Laura’s new music, all you want to do is listen to “Boombox” all day. So…we’re just going to leave this here:

Flip phones may be a thing of the past, but Laura Marano doesn’t seem to think so!

The ‘Boombox’ singer revealed that she has a soft spot for old technology, especially when life gets too busy.

“In our [age of] social media and email, you can’t get away from work. Sometimes I just need to take a break and not have anything next to me!”

She’ll never give up her smartphone for good — she has 5.1 million Instagram followers to entertain! But after long days of filming and photo shoots, sometimes you need to go off the grid.

“You still need your phone sometimes when emergencies happen. So I will let everyone know, ‘Listen, I’m going to be on my phone. You call me or text me if you need anything’ – because I can text on this – ‘But besides that, I’m done with tonight.'”

Laura seems pretty committed to her beloved flip phone, but we need photo evidence!

Gabby Douglas and Laura Marano are having the best week ever, and it’s only Tuesday!

They’ve recently been tapped to the Miss America judges panel, and we’re bursting with excitement! *releases balloons*

Gabby couldn’t be more thrilled to join the team:

“Miss America has been such an amazing event for so many years and I am excited to have the opportunity to judge the competition this year. The contestants are a great example of strong women across America and I especially look forward to hearing the platforms that each of them will represent.”

But it’s more than just a pageant. Laura can’t wait to see the contestants talk about the issues that matter to them and what they’re passionate about.

Preparing for a beauty pageant may seem like a daunting task, but Laura’s got it under control:

“Of course, I’m watching Miss Congeniality every day, because what else are you supposed to do but watch Sandra Bullock?”

Laura Marano just dropped her brand new song, “La La,” and we absolutely love the message behind it.

“We wrote it around 7 p.m.,” the 20-year-old singer and actress revealed. “[It’s the] latest session I’ve ever done.”

“I came in and was like, ‘I want to write a celebratory, happy, screw you song.’”

“I wanted to write a song that’s like ‘screw you for not accepting me for who I am, and I’m going to do me no matter what criticism I get from you.’ That’s the hook of the song.”

Yasss girl!

We couldn’t be more excited about Laura Marano judging the 2017 Miss America pageant.

And although the 20-year-old “La La” singer doesn’t have much experience in this realm, Laura did have amazing insight and advice to offer the 51 contestants.

“Keep in mind, I haven’t been a part of pageants before, so I feel there are definitely things I’m going to be learning as well as being a judge,” Laura revealed during a Q&A with Yahoo. “But the one thing I can speak about is talking about things you care about to people who may or may not be listening and how you get them to listen.”

“Any advice I would give them is to be short, concise, and meaningful with anything you say. It’s very easy to ramble. It’s very easy to not make a clear point sometimes. The best thing is to know what you’re going to say and find a meaningful way of saying it.”

The Miss America 2017 pageant airs September 11 on ABC at 9pm.
